The Jewish community in Chester went out of their way to make it a special Chanukah for one family visiting from St Louis USA. They were travelling with a 2 year old and a 2 month child and had forgotten to pack a menorah. They found the community contact details on JSCN and Jewish locals provided them with Chanukah candles and helped them improvise a menorah for the little one’s 1st Chanukah.
They were even more delighted when they learned that Rabbi Yitzock Kaye would be staging a public lighting of the giant Chanukiah in the town centre.
