Good morning
I just wanted to drop you a message of support after the awful event this week. You are not alone as Jewish people so please stay strong. I would also appreciate the opportunity to educated my child properly on Jewish faith and Jewish people so the new generation will not carry this hate and disgusting attitude towards Jewish people. Sending you all prayers and support at a time when you may feel alone.
Deepest condolences to all victims of the Bondi Beach killings. Love and kindness and compassion will win through all hatred. Stay strong.

I would be pleased to receive an answer.

I am a Christian and I stand with Israel. I pray for the people of Israel every day that they would find Yeshua their Messiah. I want the Jewish people to know that many Christians are turning away from the evil of replacement theology and back to a proper understanding of Gods love and purpose for the Jewish people in Messiah and that God will never neglect His Promises to them. Pease be upon you. Peace be upon Jerusalem I pray. Amen
As a Christian I have been so blessed through your heritage.
I am so ashamed of my country! Especially our education system!
I weep at what my nation has become!
I stand with Isreal and the Jews. GOD BLESS ISRAEL !

Hello
I am writing a book about places to visit in Swansea, and someone suggested that I include the Jewish cemetery at Mayhill. I thought this might be a good opportunity to tell readers a little about the history of Jews in Swansea – I had no idea that we have the oldest Jewish community in Wales until I started researching.
I would love to have the opportunity to visit the cemetery and speak to someone in the community. Would you be kind enough to ask someone to contact me, please?
It may be worth you exploring the Jewish genealogy groups on Facebook.
Hello,
My name is Sallyann Williams.I have recently been informed by some family members on my paternal Grandmother’s side of my family that we maybe of Jewish decent.
I’m currently trying to learn more about the faith in general.
I have also begun to learn some Hebrew & Yiddish, although not very well as it is a rather difficult language to grasp.
Therefore I was hoping there maybe some one who could guide me towards tracing my roots and ancestry, as well as learning more about studying the languages.
Many Thanks.
I once attended the Ffynone House Synagogue, and would like to start attending again, I’ve seen in a few different places the community is still active, has anyone got any details so that I can start attending
Hello,
I wonder if there is anybody in Swansea who might know the whereabouts of he two Samuel daughters, Susan and Marilyn whose father had a delicatessen store on the road to Mumbles Head in the late 60’s.
Marilyn supposedly married a local boy and moved to Australia.
Please send any info to : bobkroonenberg@yahoo.com

Dear all,
I am one of the great granddaughters of Philip Franks, who spent the major part of his life in Swansea, until his death in the 1960s. I am trying to find out if he was the son of Solomon and Sarah Franks, and I wondered if anyone might have any information? I would be really grateful if somebody might be able to help me in my research. Many thanks.

To Phoebe Langley (Letter dated 16 Aug 2019)
Dear Phoebe,
My name is Leonard Mars, a member of Swansea Shul and a friend of Selwyn Franks who is a fellow congregant and a grandson of Solomon Franks.
I have just spoken to Selwyn who asks you to contact him on tel. no. 01792 205298
Although the project “British Jews in the First World War” hasn’t specifically focused on Wales so far, it might still be worth using the search facility on their website as there is a lot of data which has been uploaded by individuals – http://www.jewsfww.uk
The other opportunity is to look through the archives collected by the Jewish Historical Association of South Wales
I am trying to contact somebody who knows about the history of the Swansea Jewish community in WW1, or indeed any Jewish communities, in South Wales, specifcally if there was a family called Gold living in Mumbles, who were VAD nurses? Orif there were any Jewish women working as VAD nurses/British Red Cross volunteers/ St Johns Ambulance? This is for a record of honour of Jewish Women who served at home or abroad as nurses or assistant nurses/workers in hospitals, for the National AJEX Archives
How can I get in contact with a Rabbi I am living in Swansea
Hi
I am the great great granddaughter of Solomon Franks and Sarah Franks of Llanelli and am interested in any information regarding their family and would appreciate and documents or pictures you may have. Many many thanks
Phoebe
Good morning,
My name is Mark and I am an award winning photographer based in Cardiff. I have photographed for a number of national publications (The Telegraph Magazine, The Smith Journal, Financial Times, The Guardian, Channel 4 etc) and exhibited work around the world.
I am looking to photograph Jewish evacuees based in Wales for a new project and was hoping you could possibly put me in touch with willing participants?
The work would be a portraiture project which would explain the plight of each individual and their family during the second world war and their journey to Wales.
I will be using local community centres to set up a portable studio and would need no more than 20 minutes with each individual. It would also be an excellent opportunity for the local community to integrate with each other as well as educating generations about the holocaust and evacuees.
Thank you very much for your time and I look forward to hearing from you,
Mark.
Hello,
My name is Gadiel Schatz (or Shatz). I live in Israel and am a distant relative of the following people who lived in South Wales, presumably in Swansea, at the turn of the 20th century. I refer to Israel Benjamin Shatz who later emigrated to San Francisco and to Meyer (or Meir) Schatz (or Shatz) who was the brother of Prof. Boris Schatz, founder of the Bezalel Art academy in Jerusalem.
I would be very thankful for any information, documents or pictures related to these persons and/or their relatives as far as you may have.
Best regards,
Gadiel Schatz.
