Southport Celebrates 125 Years

125 years since its founding Southport Hebrew Congregation marked the anniversary with a communal service, lead by Rabbi Fachler, followed by an afternoon tea. It was attended by Chief Rabbi Mirvis, along with the Queen’s representative, Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, Southport’s local MP Damien Moore, leaders of the Merseyside Rep Council, the many rabbonim who lead services at Arnside Road, and around 120 current members and former members of the congregation, plus guests from Southport Reform shul and others.
