Online Minyans

With Group Prayer and Synagogue Services suspended, many are taking to Video Conferencing, such as ZOOM.US and Social Media to try and maintain some semblance of daily prayer and learning.

Here are just some.

MOVEMENT FOR REFORM JUDAISM
About 12 synagogues already stream services, the list of synagogues is at https://www.reformjudaism.org.uk/our-synagogues/ but not all stream service. Maidenhead requires a membership password to access.
West London Synagogue stream (6pm Fri, 11am Sat) and Radlett Reform. Bournemouth also live streams as does Blackpool and Sinai in Leeds.

Handy advice from Radlett Reform:
We hope that our web-streaming will enable you to join us for services even though you can’t be physically present. Of course you are welcome just to watch, but we have found that the experience is more satisfying if you enter into the spirit of it – get your siddur (prayerbook) if you have one and follow along, sing along if you can, perhaps stand and sit as the congregation does. Think about what you will wear (including kippah and tallit). You could send us an email to tell us you’re here. Baruch ha-ba – welcome!

The MRJ has now made it’s siddur available online; Shabbat evening service starts on p100 and morning service on p160. These siddurim are also available to purchase via Manor House Books (you can also buy on Amazon but they take a cut so maybe you’d like to support them directly) at http://www.manorhousebooks.co.uk/
