A the risk of suggesting things you may have already tried, your first port of call is the Registrar for the district he was born in. To assist you with this it may be possible to search the BMD records online at http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk/ . Further to that you can phone the synagogue in St Anne’s… The number is given on the StAnnes page in the small communities listing on this web site… They may have a record of his Bar Mitzvah. The other thing to search is a record of your parents marriage… Do you know in which town and what year they were married?

I have been looking for info on my father for a long time but no success. I believe he came from St. Annes. Do you know of someone I could contact for help?I was born in 1941 so we are going back some time!
