I was very sad to hear the Shul had closed. I was Bar Mitzvah there in 1987. Reverend Fausner taught me my portiom and I practiced with a Rabbi at school (i was at Carmel College), I went to Cheder there 1980-85 until I went to school where I davened at least once a day.
Sad sad times – beautiful shul to close !!!
I remember Rabbi Wilner and Reverend Fausner. I was at the cheder from 1948/53
Rabbi Wilner taught me my barmitzvah , which was in March 1953.
Long time ago. I loved Hove.
Lovely synagogue was there again when mum passed away.My parents Dr.and Mrs.Leonard Stone were members and I also attended cheder there with Rabbi Wilner and Reverend Fausner.Does anyone remember Mr.Julian Ullman from Hungary who also taught us and ran Bnei Akiva.We live in Telaviv now.
