The SAMS Roots project shares memories and experiences of a selection of members of the St Albans Masorti Synagogue, including what brought them to SAMS.
A professional biographer, Caroline Pearce, interviewed 12 members of SAMS and allow us to store and display their stories to ensure that they are available for future generations.
Preserving the stories
The SAMS Roots website, www.e-sams.org/roots, includes the summaries, audio clips, a photo gallery, the SAMS Roots Collection and tour on the virtual Historypin map as well as a link to the full audio files, transcripts and glossary on the University of Hertfordshire’s Heritage Hub.
