    Poetry anthology 2017

    Hi
I am well aware of Hulls Jewish history.
I was a member of the Jewish society when I was an undergraduate in the 1980’s.
I wondered if you knew of someone who could contribute a poem about Jewish history in Hull to a 2017 poetry anthology, Poems will be displayed in library west where there was once a strong Jewish community. I am also hoping to publish. Such anthology would not be complete without a contribution about Hull’s Jewish community.

  2. Mr. Ashley Howard

    Hello,
My name is Ashley Howard and I am a photographer for British War Graves and I am based in Hull. I have been asked to take photos of the headstones for Gunner Alfred Miller remembered in Grave 87 at Hull Central Hebrew Congregation Cemetery but I can not gain entry. Private Joseph Annowitch & Flying Officer Colin Raphael Levy in Hull Old Hebrew Con. Cem but again I can not gain entry, and in the Hull Western Synagogue Cem. I with to take photos of the headstones of Sgt.W.G.N. Hare, Flying Officer H. Rathbone, Gunner C. Rosenthall & Aircraftman Ronald Rosenthall.
So my question to you is:-
Am I able to gain entry to these cemetery’s please? and if so, how?

Am I right in thinking that Hull Central is Ella St. & Hull Old Hebrew is Delhi St.? If these are correct, which is Hull Western please (providing I am allowed entry)?

    Many thanks,

    Ashley
