The Chester Jewish Community now consists of a small but growing group of families.
Ian Roe is the current linchpin. He says…
“We have established links with both Liverpool and Manchester communities and secured the services of a Rabbi to come and address meetings / give talks often relating to the high holidays.
We have also established Hebrew / Jewish studies lessons via skype for children in the community.
We would welcome new members and families in the area to join us.” (Sept 2016)
Historically the synagogue was at Bollard’s Court, Whitefriars (until at least 1948), and prior to then (from 1894 until 1900), services were held in a room in Union Hall.
