Arithmetics of Interfaith marriages

A SPECIAL FORUM FOR LEADERS OF SMALL JEWISH COMMUNITIES IN EUROPE

TO DISCUSS THE SPECIFIC CHALLENGES WHICH OUR COMMUNITIES
FACE IN THESE SPECIAL TIMES.

Stockholm, Sweden – June 18th – 20th – 2017

It is not very often that we have the opportunity to discuss the issue of Interfaith (mixed) marriages and their inclusion in our communities. We would like to propose an open debate where all the opinions can be freely expressed in an atmosphere of respect for others views.

  • Is there any space in our communities for people in a mixed marriage and who do not convert?
  • What happens with children of mixed faith marriages?
  • What happens with burial rights for a non Jewish partner?
  • Who is entitled to use Community Services?
