Jewish communities consisting of only a small number of people can struggle to survive alone. However through mutual links and meetings with other similar communities they can seek to overcome many obstacles.
Jewish Small Communities meetings in the North West stem from the work done by Eric Moonman and Lainie Fletcher. They have created a number of inspirational meetings over recent years, bringing together the communities of Southport, Lytham St Annes, Blackpool, Lancaster & Morecambe and others.
This web site was originally created to support that work.
However JSCN has grown in its own right over the years, and now delivers…
– an Index of every Small Community in the UK.
– a News Digest
– a Toolkit to help meet some of the key challenges in contemporary Jewish life.
JSCN is also used as a resource in many many different ways…
Education, Welfare, Family Heritage, Faith Issues, Resource Location etc etc etc… the list is endless.
JSCN is the initiative of and maintained by Ed Horwich.
